Personally, I think this is a great achievement.
The religious aspect of marriage may never embrace such an idea but at least we have the security of knowing that with the great lever of unification that is Liberalism, we can achieve success.

So many countries claim to be democracies yet homosexual marriage rights is still essentially a taboo.
Ignorance and oppresion can only go so far.

Perhaps Liberals aren't forcing the issue enough abroad? Or perhaps other countries just aren't advanced enough to cope?

I'd like to here everybodies views on this.
